Arturo Vidal will not play until their upcoming Champions League match

The last competitive appearance that Arturo Vidal made with Bayern Munich was on January 20 of 2017 when his team faced off with Freiburg and came out on top with a 2-1 triumph.

Unfortunately for the Chilean player, he picked up a rib injury which forced him to be subbed off from the pitch at the 54th minute.

Arturo Vidal’s rib injury does not appear to be very serious but the Chilean midfielder recently stated that in order to avoid damaging his body any further; Vidal will be missing out from any of the upcoming matches of Bayern Munich until February which is when they will be locking horns with Arsenal in a Champions League match.

Bayern Munich’s first leg of their Champions League round of 16 is scheduled to be played on February 15 of the ongoing year at the Allianz Arena and considering how important this upcoming match is, Arturo Vidal wants to be fully fit and ready for this game which is why he will not be playing any other match until this one arrives.

"I feel bad. I've got severe pain in the ribs. I can't play like this and must take a break now. Anyway, I've already missed a week's training. Now it looks like I'll need at least a further two or three weeks' break. Only by doing this can I completely recover. Then we will see how I feel for the Champions League game." Arturo Vidal said.

Vidal is a regular starter in the team of Carlo Ancelotti and the supporters of Bayern Munich are hoping that the Chilean player will be able to recover in time for the approaching Champions League encounter against Arsenal.
