BAYERN PRESIDENT DISMISSES LEWANDOWSKI EXIT RUMORS

The club's trying to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski may now have to look elsewhere as the German Bundesliga giants have continued to maintain their stance that he will not be leaving anytime soon. Lewandowski has been a major transfer target for English Premier League side ls Manchester City and Chelsea, with the two clubs still in search of a striker they want to sign this summer. Chelsea have been linked with Lewandowski and Haaland this summer, while City have also been tipped to make a move for the Poland international striker as a possible replacement for Sergio Agüero.

LEWANDOWSKI ON FIRE FOR BAYERN

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has continued to score goals on a regular basis just like he did last season. As a matter of fact, the Polish international is scoring more goals this season in comparison to last season when his goals fired Bayern Munich to an impressive treble. The Bavarian giants won the DfBPokal, the Champions League and the German Bundesliga title as they were able to recover from the bad start that led to the dismissal of Croatian tactician Niko Kovac. His replacement Hansi Flick has impressed in his role as the Bayern Munich manager after leading them to the treble in the last campaign.

The Champions League win from last season ensured that Bayern Munich will participate at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar and Robert Lewandowski was the main man again as Bayern saw off Al Ahly FC of Egypt in the semi-finals. Al Ahly are the CAF Champions League holders but they were no match for Robert Lewandowski and his Bayern Munich team. Robert Lewandowski scored the opening goal on 17 minutes before he made sure of the final spot for his team with a second goal four minutes before the end of the game.

Jupp Heynckes: Real Madrid Have No Chance Of Signing Robert Lewandowski

Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has dismissed the possibility of Real Madrid pursuing the signature of Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season. The Poland international has been heavily linked with a move to the European champions, but Heynckes has stressed that the club have no interest in sanctioning the striker’s sale. Speaking after the Borussia Dortmund game, he said: “Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already made this perfectly clear: Real Madrid has absolutely no chance of acquiring Robert Lewandowski.”

Meanwhile, the veteran head coach was coy on the futures of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben despite their existing deals due to expire at the end of the season, he added:"I have my opinion on Ribery and Robben, but I will hold back here with my recommendations. The club will know what they are and will decide in due course."
